Here’s a new-construction selling point you don’t see every day (or every decade) in Atlanta: Steps-away access to a new public transit line.

A Peoplestown residential development called “The Row 900” is set to break ground Wednesday between downtown Atlanta and the Beltline’s Southside Trail corridor, directly along MARTA’s new Rapid A-Line, according to project leaders.

That five-mile transit loop—scheduled to begin passenger service April 18—will mark metro Atlanta’s first bus rapid transit route and MARTA’s first new transit line in 25 years.

Most lots for the infill project are located in the 900 block of Hank Aaron Drive. The site is about four blocks directly north of Peoplestown’s new Terminal South district and a forthcoming entry point to the Atlanta Beltline’s Southside Trail, slated to open prior to 2026 FIFA World Cup festivities in June this year.

Farther north, Georgia State University’s Center Parc Stadium and Summerhill’s food-and-beverage row Georgia Avenue are also less than a half-dozen blocks away.

The Row 900 is being billed as “a new standard for modern living” and a departure from the product homebuilder WilliamMarkDesigns typically delivers in other intown neighborhoods, with prices north of $1 million.

According to project broker Bobbie Spiller of Keller Knapp Realty, The Row 900 will see 16 new homes total in three different floorplans—with the option to add an Accessory Dwelling Unit or guesthouse with some homes.

Prices start at $575,000 and climb to $800,000, with the latter being larger homes with the ADU/guesthouse option.

“[That’s] a flexibility we don’t often see at this price point,” Spiller wrote to Urbanize Atlanta via email.

Floorplans will range from about 1,500 square feet (three-bedroom options with two and ½ bathrooms) up to roughly 2,000 square feet (for four bedrooms and another bathroom), with the goal being to “provide attainable luxury to the heart of Peoplestown,” per Spiller.

Marketing materials describe Peoplestown as “one of Atlanta’s fastest-evolving intown neighborhoods” overall. An interesting non-commercial or residential project in the works—a 5-acre, flood-solving city park—is taking shape a few blocks to the east of the new home site.
