A dose of vintage glam is bound for downtown Decatur’s social scene.

Tucked-away speakeasy concept “RoSo Treasury,” featuring a faux bank storefront, boutique bowling, and a live entertainment component, is set to open Sept. 18 in the basement of a renovated building across the street from Decatur’s Historic Square.

Situated where Clairemont and West Ponce de Leon avenues intersect, the 7,500-square-foot venue marks Competitive Social Ventures’ second Roaring Social location.

The RoSo Treasury concept goes that guests must use a “coveted password” to find and enter a secret vault entrance, slip by the treasury, locate the right safety deposit box, and then enter a throwback, velvet-draped Roaring Twenties world.

Beyond the horseshoe bar and bowling, expect a full restaurant, dance floor, live stage, VIP sections, and private event spaces.

Previously occupied by Emory Healthcare, the 109,000-square-foot Decatur property at 101 W. Ponce de Leon Ave. was redeveloped by asset management firm The RMR Group in 2022.

The Roaring Social nightspot will follow a similar concept that opened in downtown Alpharetta in 2021 as part of the Hamilton boutique hotel project. It will be open Tuesday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to midnight, and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Reservations are now live here.

Elsewhere, CSV owns and operates four entertainment venues in Georgia under several brands, including Fairway Social (Alpharetta and Trilith) and Pickle and Social (Buford).

The six-story building and an outbuilding beside where RoSo Treasury will operate—originally constructed in 1992—are located immediately north of Decatur’s Historic Square, among a West Ponce de Leon Avenue strip with some of the city’s most prized restaurant and retail destinations.

The property has been described by marketers as a “creative and amenity rich office building,” with features that include a communal conference facility, fitness center, modernized lobby, and a large courtyard off Ponce, for eateries or shops to operate.
