Thousands of votes have been cast. Three rounds are in the books. And the valiant runs of Serenbe, downtown Atlanta, and reigning champ Old Fourth Ward have come to an end.
Now, the (Sub)urban Smackdown 2025 tournament marches on!
Eight great ITP and OTP places remain standing. There’s a mix of historic village-like settings, burgeoning downtowns, and metro Atlanta’s hottest hotbed of gleaming new high-rises. The (virtual) trophy inches closer—and everlasting glory is coming with it.
Here now, a look at the remaining field of potential 2025 champions:
A quick reminder of how this works:
- Earlier this month, we listed in alphabetical order 32 of the most populous and internet-searched places in suburban Atlanta. Ditto for 32 of Atlanta’s most historic, popular, and interesting neighborhoods.
- Please cast a vote for whichever city or neighborhood you think is the best right now, whatever that means to you.
- The top vote-getter in each pairing will move on to the next round. In the event of a tie, the competitor that comes first in alphabetical order will advance.
- Voting in this Elite 8 round of the Metro Atlanta Big Dance will close Wednesday at 11 a.m. sharp!
Please, take a second and cast a vote below.
Now, let the eliminations resume!
