With new boutique condo projects sprouting from Ormewood Park, Kirkwood, and Decatur to Blandtown and beyond, it’s hard to believe the building type was almost extinct around intown Atlanta just a couple of years ago.
The resurgence of for-sale condo buildings on a smaller scale continues in Castleberry Hill, just south of Mercedes-Benz Stadium and the first components of massive Centennial Yards.
On a formerly vacant lot at 346 Peters Street, near Castleberry’s junction with Adair Park and Pittsburgh, sales have begun at a 27-condo project from Capital Design Group called Lyric Lofts.
Described by marketers as “industrial lofts reimagined,” the Gamble + Gamble Architects-designed brick building will stand four stories with street retail at the base. Downtown views from a communal roof terrace are described as “sweeping.”
Prices so far range from the $230,000s to the low $600,000s.
Listing services indicate five of the nine condos offered for sale to date are under contract—all of them priced below $370,000.
The smallest unit offered now has one bedroom and one bathroom in 746 square feet. The price: $235,500.
On the flipside, a two-level “penthouse” asking $624,950 has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 1,842 square feet.
Included with that option is an upstairs flex space and expansive roof deck claiming a corner of the building.
The brokerage team hasn’t responded to inquiries about where construction stands, but listings indicate the project will finish in 2021. Slide up the gallery for a closer look.
