A pair of unique modern residential projects is underway that aims to up the design ante (and just maybe the median sales price) in Southwest Atlanta.
Located on Adams Drive—a haven for estate-size residences on big leafy lots, around the corner from Cascade Springs Nature Preserve—the contemporary dwellings each count five bedrooms, four and ½ bathrooms, and more than 5,000 square feet.
Priced at $950,000, both homes listed earlier this month with DeShawna Bennett of New Era Realty Group.
Marketing materials describe the neighborhood as “cozy” and the vaguely Miami-esque houses as “breathtaking new construction,” located two minutes from shopping centers and 15 minutes from downtown.
Both are under construction now—and will soon be primed to entertain, per listings.
One-percenter bait here includes his-and-her garages, a deck off the owners suites, stylish sitting rooms, and back patios large enough to host proms. Whether so many palm trees come with the properties, or are merely rendering ornaments, isn’t clear.
The location’s “car-dependent” Walk Score of 9 leaves much to be desired, but the Soundscore™ of 86 qualifies as genuinely serene, for Atlantans who appreciate that sort of thing.
As eye-popping as the asking prices may be, they aren’t the big cheese of Southwest Atlanta listings at the moment.
The pricing title belongs to a sprawling English Manor-style estate with modernized interiors—also on Adams Drive—that’s angling to land $1.99 million.
Swing up to the gallery for a closer look at both modern home projects.
