Buckhead leadership wants to know what Atlanta thinks is going well, not going so well, and what you’d like to see done about it.
For the fourth time, nonprofit booster organization Livable Buckhead has launched a community-wide survey to gauge people’s feelings about traffic, personal safety, restaurant quality, shopping, schools, parks, crime, general quality-of-life, and more topics that make an important section of Atlanta proper what it is.
The 2026 State of Buckhead Survey will be open through Oct. 30.
The biannual questionnaire—the first was distributed in 2020, a touchy time for basically everywhere but Buckhead especially—takes about 20 minutes to complete. (Anyone who finishes will be entered into a drawing for one of 10 Visa gift cards worth $50.)
Key findings from the 2020 State of Buckhead study. How much have things changed—if at all—in six years?

According to Livable Buckhead, responses to the survey will help provide direction for the development of future projects and programs. The survey will also help steer advocacy related to transportation, housing, parks, public safety, and more across a collection of neighborhoods with more than 95,000 residents—or more than one-sixth of the City of Atlanta’s total population.
Officials say responses won’t be connected to anyone’s contact information and will be reported only in aggregate.
“Fair warning: this is a real survey. It is not three questions asking whether you are delighted, very delighted or absurdly delighted,” reads a candid Livable Buckhead teaser. “We want to hear from people who live here, work here, own businesses here, visit here or simply spend enough time here to have developed some feelings about it."
So go ahead, ATL, sound off!
