The tallest building in the Southeast is set to shine brighter on Atlanta’s skyline.
Eversheds Sutherland, one of the world’s largest full-service law firms, has relocated its Atlanta offices to high floors of Bank of America Plaza, the tallest tower in metro Atlanta since its completion in the early 1990s—and a post-Great Recession comeback story that’s undergone significant renovations in recent years.
Eversheds Sutherland now occupies four full floors—49 through 52—at the iconic, 55-story Midtown building, a vantage point that offers city views from all sides, per officials.
The law firm picked the 600 Peachtree St. tower for its centralized location in Midtown, efficient and flexible floorplans, and new amenities the firm determined to be state-of-the-art.
A property evaluation process included employee surveys and focus groups, according to an announcement today.

Eversheds Sutherland’s new Bank of America Plaza space will include a full floor dedicated to amenities, including a boardroom, a divisible conference center, wellness facilities, and an employee lounge. The remaining three practice floors will each include perks such as refreshment areas and dedicated wellness and mothers’ rooms, per the firm.
Eversheds Sutherland reps tell Urbanize Atlanta the lease totals roughly 94,000 square feet at Bank of America Plaza. The firm's total headcount at the Atlanta office will be 352 employees (173 attorneys and 178 staff members).
“Atlanta has been home to our firm for more than a century, so it was important to us that our new office maintains a strong connection to the city’s business community,” Lino Mendiola, Eversheds Sutherland’s Global Co-CEO and US chief executive, said in a statement. “I’m proud that we have moved into one of the city’s most iconic buildings and that our new space is a modern, purpose-built environment that encourages collaboration and provides flexibility for the future.”
Building owner CP Group, a Florida-based commercial real estate and management firm with a substantial Atlanta portfolio that includes the former CNN Center (now The CTR), started construction in 2023 on $50 million in upgrades as part of the building’s “The South Star” rebranding efforts. The tower counts roughly 1.35 million square feet of space overall.
The law firm had previously operated at 999 Peachtree St. in Midtown for more than 35 years, occupying roughly twice as much space in that building.
