Promising a “new kind of hospitality from a 136-year-old institution,” Agnes Scott College is dipping its toes in the short-term rental business at the outset of an expected busy summer for tourism in metro Atlanta.

Beginning next month, the Decatur private women’s liberal arts college will be offering three of its “beautifully restored historic homes” along West College Avenue as short-term lodging options for as little as two nights, officials announced today.

The goal, according to college leadership, is to capitalize on five-minute walkability to historic Decatur Square and MARTA’s Decatur station, along with access to Agnes Scott, Emory University, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

The three longstanding houses in question—dubbed Agnes Arbor, Irvine Place, and Magnolia Hideaway—are situated across the street from Agnes Scott’s historic, updated campus along West College Avenue.

Collectively, the homes can accommodate up to 26 guests and are “ideal for families, alumni, visiting scholars, wedding parties, sports tournaments, conference attendees, and business travelers,” per college officials. “Opening these homes for short-term stays extends the college’s tradition of warm hospitality to a broader community of visitors, while supporting the careful stewardship of these historic properties.”

Here's a brief description of each short-term listing:
