Nearly a year after it appeared on the market and made national news, Atlanta’s landmark White House doppelgänger is holding firm with an asking price of $35 million, or twice the amount Tyler Perry’s record-setting Buckhead palace traded for years ago.
Tucked behind tall gates and a guard shack at 3687 Briarcliff Road, the Neoclassical ATL White House has achieved almost mythical status (and likely several million double-takes) since it was built in 2001. It stands as a symmetrical homage to the real thing, as the builder commissioned to create it 25 years ago sent artisans to study 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. in Washington, D.C. firsthand.
After listing in November, the northeast Atlanta property still stands as the metro's priciest for-sale residential offering—and the fourth most expensive in Georgia right now.
Marketed as a “Presidential masterpiece reimagined” in the Oak Grove neighborhood, the main house alone spans 16,500 square feet, with six bedrooms and 11 full and half-bathrooms.

Next door on the property is a sibling three-story home—an homage to the West Wing with another 6,700 square feet and seven bedrooms, an ITP mansion on its own—included in the sale.
Fittingly, the current seller and owner since 2013 is an American Dream success story who emigrated from Vietnam, opened a nail salon with a loan, and grew that into a national chain that includes the Atlanta Beauty & Barber Academy, as the Wall Street Journal reported. Having raised her kids in the home, the owner is looking to downsize and move on.
Highlights around the property include a replica of the Oval Office (replete with a Presidential Seal on the ceiling, of course), the large pool and gardens, a home theater and sauna, ancillary sleeping quarters inspired by the Queen’s Bedroom and Lincoln Bedroom, and a “moody” game lounge set up with “billiards and bar seating reminiscent of a classic speakeasy,” per the Serhant listing.

An exercise in modern minimalism this is not, and it’s the very definition of niche Atlanta real estate, but you can’t call it cookie-cutter. Another consideration is the estimated property taxes of around $57,000 per year. Presidential indeed.
The property’s four Serhant listing agents are Dewey Luong, Annie Tran, Tiffany Powell, and Chris Bowes.
