An infill residential project that's bringing relatively rare, for-sale townhomes to a popular Beltline stretch in Southwest Atlanta is starting to take shape.
Ackerman & Co., the same developer that owns Lee + White and its expanding office, retail, and food offerings, started demolition for the West End townhome venture a year ago.
The 600 Hopkins St. development—formerly called Hopkins and White Townhomes—has been renamed Gordon White Parkside, or GW Parkside for short. Plans call for GW Parkside to see 23 new units eventually, with the first coming to market this spring, according to onsite signage and marketing materials.
The initial seven properties are nearing top-out now. Price ranges for the townhomes have yet to be released.

Each townhome will have three bedrooms and three and ½ bathrooms in 2,056 square feet, with two-car garages at the base and rooftop decks above, according to Ackerman reps.
The site is across the street from the Beltline’s Westside Trail and Gordon-White Park, just north of the Lee + White district. The properties in question were formerly home to two businesses: Best Friends Car Wash, which doubled as an outdoor art gallery for muralists, and Lean Draft House, once celebrated as the first new business to open on the Westside Trail.
Renderings show two rows of units at GW Parkside, with an internal street between.
The community will also feature a fenced-in dog park, tucked behind the row of townhomes away from the street and Beltline, as site plans illustrate.

Rooftops will be positioned to emphasize views of the pocket park, the downtown skyline, and Westside Trail, according to developers. The Beltline section in question is set to be expanded into former rail corridor less than a block away, eradicating the need to zigzag through the neighborhood to continue on the Westside Trail (aka, the Southwest Trail).
That trail expansion's construction timeline calls for beginning this fall and wrapping in late 2027 or early the following year. Landscaping work will continue into 2028, per Beltline officials.
