After four dramatic rounds and more than 3,100 votes, four motivated contestants are another step closer to everlasting glory, with a chance to announce to metro Atlanta what a wonderful place they are!
Welcome to the (Sub)urban Smackdown 2025 Final Four!
Two past champions remain in the mix (Avondale Estates and Hapeville), while one valiant OTP contender (Tucker) is still standing. But don’t sleep on historic, fun-lovin’ Grant Park, which in 2026 will officially become a Beltline neighborhood.
Please note: For maximum voter accessibility, Final Four voting will roll into the new year and a fresh month—with a warm batch of five free articles starting Jan. 1.
Without further ado, let’s meet the remaining field of potential champions:
The 411 on how this works:
- Earlier this month, we listed in alphabetical order 32 of the most populous and internet-searched places in suburban Atlanta. Ditto for 32 of Atlanta’s most historic, popular, and interesting neighborhoods.
- Please cast a vote for whichever city or neighborhood you think is the best right now, whatever that means to you.
- The top vote-getter in each pairing will move on to the 2025 Championship.
- Voting in this Final Four round of the Metro Atlanta Big Dance will close Friday at 10 a.m. sharp!
Please, take a second and cast a vote for each contest below. (Oh, drama...)
Now, Happy New Year—and let the FINAL FOUR eliminations commence!
