Following two years of adaptive-reuse renovations, an Oakhurst building that’s stood for nearly a century is on the cusp of having new life.
Called Park 108, the condo venture by national developer Toll Brothers is aiming to fill a void of for-sale multifamily product on the southwest side of Decatur, where Oakhurst meets Kirkwood.
The 1930s building once functioned as a Southern Bell telephone company switchboard facility; more recently, it was an AT&T training center.
As for location, MARTA’s East Lake station is situated across the street, Oakhurst Village is a few blocks in the other direction, and College Avenue’s smattering of retail and restaurant offerings is also nearby.

Eric White, Toll Brothers division president in Atlanta, says move-ins at Park 108 are scheduled to begin by mid-September. The 33-unit building is more than 50 percent sold today, according to White.
The revised three-story structure—originally expected to open last year—offered a range of floorplans (18 total) from 500-square-foot studios to airy two-bedroom units with ceilings up to 14 feet. Some included a second story.
Options available today, on the cheaper end, start with a one-bedroom, one-bathroom floorplan called the Larson. It spans around 924 square feet on the ground floor for $269,995. (Another consideration: the $370 monthly HOA fee.)
The priciest option now—a third-floor unit called the Baird—has two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 1,344 square feet. It’ll set buyers back $599,995.

Like location (and entry to Decatur’s school system), the condos’ character is intended to make up for the building’s lack of amenities, such as a swimming pool, and balconies. Features include wide-plank hardwood flooring, oversized windows, and custom cabinetry.
