It’s been a big month for The Works, an Underwood Hills warehouse overhaul that’s evolving into something like its own small town within the city.
In October, the Selig Development property topped out its first residential component, a 306-unit apartment venture called Westbound at the Works. And just last week, The Works debuted the sprawling social hub and “eatertainment” concept Your 3rd Spot, which had been in, uh, the works for about a year.
Once delivered next year, the apartments will complete The Works’ initial phase. It spans 27 acres—of an eventual 80 acres—and is home to 184,000 square feet of retail and 125,000 square feet of offices.
Other attractions today include the 31-stall Chattahoochee Food Works, Fox Bros Bar-B-Q, Dr. Scofflaw’s brewery, Ballard Designs, Adelina Social Goods, Stellar Bodies, American Axes, and Happy Mango.
Another addition is the next outpost of dog park-bar concept Fetch, which is sniffing at completion near The Works’ uniquely designed parking structure. That’s illustrated, along with other aspects of The Works evolution, in the gallery above, as part of our latest installment of aerial photo tours over Atlanta.
