Just east of Lenox Square, near Cross Keys High School, this ultra-modern Brookhaven new-build is marketed as being in a class of its own—with a price point to match.
Counting a whopping six bedrooms in 6,200 square feet, the recently finished East Roxboro Road residence listed last month for $3.6 million. That makes it the lone Brookhaven residence seeking $3 million or more right now, though a half-dozen homes have sold over that mark the past couple of years across the ITP city.
Designed by independent Atlanta designer Mary Joan Ndumia and built by Sani Construction, the house counts a “very cool Miami feel on the exterior,” plus an equally modern basement with a movie theater, as Compass agent Mike Toltzis tells Urbanize Atlanta.
The location has relatively quick access to both Interstate 85 and Ga. Highway 400, plus the growing Brookhaven Village and foodie wonderland that is Buford Highway.
Zooming in, the “lush” landscaping was done by Atlanta’s Brendan Butler, and there’s ample room for a pool, as renderings indicate, but no actual pool yet. (The sloped, roughly 1-acre lot alone sold for $375,000 in the summer of 2019, records show.)
Moving inside, the 20-foot foyer is dramatic, and very few aspects—from the Mooi chandeliers and dark custom kitchen cabinetry to slick, contemporary wine cellars—could be mistaken for traditional. The bathroom count across three levels is six and ½, and the basement appears to live up to its “entertainers paradise” billing.
It may be hard to label this truly Miami-esque without the aforementioned pool (or a few neon accents), but it’s definitely leaning in that direction.
CLARIFICATION: 2:01 p.m., November 2: This article has been updated to reflect that Ndumia was not the project's architect but overall designer.
